2026 Legacy Golf Championship Returns to Montgomery, Alabama!
June 13–17, 2026 | Montgomery, Alabama
Montgomery, Alabama will once again take center stage in the junior and collegiate golf world as the 2026 Legacy Golf Championship returns June 13–17, 2026. Hosted by the LEO Foundation, the Legacy Golf Championship continues its mission of creating access, opportunity, and exposure for elite young golfers while celebrating the rich history and cultural legacy of the River Region.
Now entering its next chapter, the Legacy Golf Championship has quickly established itself as more than just a tournament. It is a platform—designed to develop talent, connect families to college pathways, and introduce visiting players to the historic significance of Montgomery.
A Championship with Purpose
The Legacy Golf Championship was founded to address a critical gap in youth and collegiate golf: access. By providing a professionally run, high-level competitive environment, the event gives junior and collegiate golfers the opportunity to showcase their skills, gain valuable tournament experience, and compete in a setting that mirrors the next level of the game.
Beyond competition, the championship is intentionally built around education, exposure, and community engagement. Players and families are immersed in Montgomery’s civil rights history, local culture, and community landmarks, making the experience both competitive and transformational.
National-Level Competition
The 2026 championship is expected to attract top junior and collegiate players from across the country. With strong course conditions, structured tournament operations, and a growing national reputation, the Legacy Golf Championship continues to position itself as a must-play summer event.
College coaches, golf industry professionals, and partners will be in attendance, creating valuable exposure opportunities for participants while reinforcing the tournament’s role as a bridge between junior golf, collegiate golf, and future careers in the game.
Economic and Community Impact
The Legacy Golf Championship also serves as a catalyst for economic development in Montgomery. Over the course of the five-day event, the city welcomes players, parents, coaches, and spectators who support local hotels, restaurants, and businesses. The championship aligns with broader efforts to elevate Montgomery as a destination for youth sports tourism and championship-level events.
Powered by the LEO Foundation
The event is hosted by the LEO Foundation, a Montgomery-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering underserved youth through golf, education, and leadership development. Proceeds and partnerships connected to the championship directly support youth programming, scholarships, and year-round golf initiatives across the River Region.
“The Legacy Golf Championship represents everything we believe in—access, excellence, opportunity, and legacy,” said Quincy Leonard, Founder and Executive Director of the LEO Foundation. “This event allows young people to dream bigger, compete at a higher level, and see what’s possible both on and off the course.”
Looking Ahead
As preparations begin for June 2026, players, families, sponsors, and partners are encouraged to stay connected for upcoming announcements regarding registration, host courses, sponsorship opportunities, and volunteer involvement.
The Legacy Golf Championship is more than a tournament—it’s a movement built on purpose, progress, and the next generation of leaders in golf.
